Community Member Spotlight: SharPhoe
You've likely seen one of his avatars if you've lurked approximately the forums enough. Well, all those round characters came from SharPhoe, who for the Film Fete unlikely twelvemonth entered in an animated version of those characters. Since then, that video has been on occasion stuck to the exceed of the Soured Theme meeting place when we obtain an influx of trolls.
Here are his answers to the question questions:
What first brought you to The Escapist?
I was prototypal introduced to The Escapist the same agency more other the great unwashe were, by a supporter of mine showing me Zero Punctuation mark. I came back week later on week to correspond in connected the ZP videos, until one day I actually decided to look up to two inches to the right-hand and … *GASP!* … I saw that this was as wel a meeting place. I ready-made an account that I didn't really plan on using a whole lot because I wished-for to post one response in a train of thought. And the eternal sleep … is history.
What is your favorite thing about The Escapist?
Hands down, it's by all odds the community. We may not be perfect – far from it, in fact – but there are more "diamonds in the rough" along this site than any other that I've visited. Call me crazy, but there are plenty of folks connected my friends list that, bestowed the chance, I would gladly set out down my life for. That's no lie. This site is also the reason out that I'm eventually in a relationship with individual rattling, very sincere to me. They know who they are.
If The Escapist suddenly disappeared, what is the first thing you would do?
In all likelihood logarithm onto Steam clean, Skype, Beaver State MSN to undertake to reach past users and find out what happened. If I had any techno-whatsit know-how, I'd judge to secure the problem myself …
A zombie is attacking you and you were caught off-ward. You are startled, start running and notice a bag of marshmallows. What do you do?
Well, if I got attacked while at Wal-Mart (where I work), I'd try to find some food coloring and a microwave to accompany those marshmallows. If this is one of those slow-moving zombies, I'd have batch of meter to melt the marshmallows together, dye them the color of Asa Gray matter to, sculpt them into something remotely brain-attribute, then get on the heck out of sidestep.
If it's one of those super-andantino Romero zombies, then … I run out to Lawn & Garden and Hope the plants magically bounce to life and protect me.
What is your favorite movie and why?
I actually don't scout many movies present because I'm always too busy operating theater tired. Of the ones I have seen, though, I would order that it's probably a toss-high between Sine City and Dr. Horrible's Blab-On Blog. And yes, I am FULLY aware of how weird it is for those ii movies to tie. I loved Sin City's artistic presentation, and all three stories were incredibly action-compact and amusive (Dwight's being my personal favorite). As for Dr. Ugly, I enjoy musicals, and it's got my entirely-time favorite actor Neil Patrick Harris in it. What's not to like?
What is your loved case of music, ring, and how did you first discover it/them?
Oh, here information technology goes …
Okay, you have it off that expression "Love the euphony, hate the band?" For Pine Tree State, it's always a case of "Bed the music, assume't pay any attention to the band because it doesn't rattling matter to me all that much." There has only ever been ace elision to that harness, and that's the barbershop quartet called Vocal Spectrum (Seriously, look them up, they're dumbfounding.) I premiere saw them perform during a choir field trip back in high school, and I've been smitten with them always since. It would exist an absolute honor to be allowed to sing with them someday … *sigh* … Anyway, my favorite type of music commonly comes from game soundtracks, merely I heed to a little bit of everything (and yes, for formerly that does admit rap music and country music). IT tends to border a bit more on the weirder stuff, though.
What do you do for a bread and butter? Do you find it interesting?
I currently work as an overnight door welcomer at the nearby Wal-Mart, substance that my job is to stand there at the door and wanted in all the people WHO feel like they need to do their grocery store shopping earlier the "normal people" inflame up. It pays well considering retributory how little I have to do, but it's definitely far from intriguing. I manage to hold myself one fashio or another until I impart at aurora, however.
If you could transfer one affair about The Escapist, what would IT be?
Television chatrooms.
Wait … No, no, that's nobelium good. Personally, I feel the web site is just pulverized on its own merits, though I might change how often some things update (Alt+Escape twice a week, anyone?). The place is in capable custody, though.
Do you like bacon?
Is grass green? Is water wet? Is Na'6 anatomy confusing? If a man talks in a afforest and no woman is around to hear him, is He still wrong? Why is the sky??
I expect all these to be answered in essay format and put on my desk away the remnant of category.
If someone gave you a million US Dollars, assess free, and you were required to spend it instead of investment, what would you spend it on?
Oh, this is an easy extraordinary, I've been dreaming of it for a long time: Pay off my college loans and fines, give my parents enough money to get by of debt, buy up a nice simple house somewhere in the suburbs, buy a predestined someone a unidirectional ticket to the United States, store all the trips for the past gay-mers to be with the ones they love, hold on to enough cash to comprise adjust for the next few years, and then donate the take a breather to several charities.
Many thanks to SharPhoe for letting me smooth the public eye on him!
